Thanks to everyone who entered our December contest for a two night stay at any one of the 40 dog friendly Shilo Inns. Our contest winner was Chris from NYC. Chris added some great reviews, like this one for Animal Kind Vet Hospital and this one for Park Slope Dog Run.
Our contest runner up was Joshua's Mom in Portland, OR. She added some thoughtful dog friendly reviews for places like Washington Park and Charlton Kennels. Joshua's Mom will be getting one of our new Fido Factor T-shirts.

Win a Dog Friendly Weekend with Shilo Inns
Our latest contest is here, time to start entering your reviews and dog friendly locations! This month Fido Factor has partnered with Shilo Inns to give away a two night stay at any one of their 40 dog friendly properties. The Shilo properties are spread across the Western U.S. A few of their many alluring locations include: Palm Springs, Salt Lake City, Mammoth Lakes, Tacoma, and Portland. We're pretty sure your pooch will love any one of these locations so we'll leave it up to you to decide. Contest Details:
To enter, simply click here. The contest will run from Nov. 26th - Dec. 30th, with the winner announced the first week of Jan. Users generate entries by adding dog friendly reviews to existing Fido Factor listings or by adding new dog friendly listings to Fido Factor. Each dog friendly review or new listing counts as an entry. The user with the greatest number of entries will win the Shilo Inns package.
As usual any reviews or locations added in our home city of San Francisco will generate a donation that Fido Factor will pay in your name to support local homeless animals. Reviews that are incomplete or inappropriate, as well as locations that are not dog friendly will be excluded. Fido Factor employees and their family members are not eligible to enter.
We Have A Winner!
For the last month we've been running our first contest in San Francisco. We wanted to see who really gets out there with their dog and thought a Mark Rogers pet photography package would be a great way to show our appreciation for some top notch reviews. Well, the votes have been tallied and and boy was it a close race. It was neck and neck until the final hours when user Nicole pulled ahead by a nose beating Inhornberger by a mere six reviews.
In addition to giving away the photo package, Fido Factor will also be making our usual donation to the SF SPCA for every one of the reviews and locations submitted. We'd also like to thank all the users that participated. We got a lot of interesting reviews, like Sookie's review of Death Valley or jjamieson's review of Boulettes Larder.
We hope to have more great contests in the future, and not just for San Francisco, so be sure to keep an eye out. Also, if you're a pet friendly business we'd love to have you as a contest sponsor.
